The plan lays out its message in three central parts: Build a border wall, enforce laws, and ensure improved jobs, wages and security.
Trump reiterates his promise to make Mexico pay for the wall, writing that in short, the Mexican government has taken the United States to the cleaners. They are responsible for this problem, and they must help pay to clean it up.
Should Mexico refuse to pay for the wall, Trump lists a handful of repercussions, including increasing fees on all temporary visas issued to Mexican CEOs and diplomats with a warning: and if necessary, cancel them, increase fees at ports of entry to the United States from Mexico, and more.

(20,851 posts)because his birth certificate would mean nothing as proof of eligibility to be president. How do I know he's really American? He didn't sign any American "F' yeah oath. He does talk about Mexico a lot. At that point would Donald effectively have given the country over to the narrow band of naturalized recent immigrants that can prove their naturalized Americans. The very people he seems to fear. The rest of us are just Americans because we happen to be born here.
How is a man that will fight endless wars of profiteering (that never make money), will build vast infrastructure like walls that limit commerce at great expense, will deport seemingly everyone, etc... how is this spending fool an economic conservative. Donald so far has proposed some of the most expensive, no economic return projects in our nations history. Yet somehow he's an fiscal conservative? Oh well I guess it doesn't matter since I won't be a citizen (or will I) once he gets elected.

(24,692 posts)Trump's plans to reform the legal immigration system are aimed at boosting American workers in the face of foreign competition. He proposes, for example, lowering the amount of legal immigrants let in to the country every year.
"The influx of foreign workers holds down salaries, keeps unemployment high, and makes it difficult for poor and working class Americans - including immigrants themselves and their children - to earn a middle class wage," the paper says.
He also promises to increase the prevailing wage for H-1B visas, the non-immigrant visas for specialized workers in specialized fields like math and science. "Raising the prevailing wage paid to H-1Bs will force companies to give these coveted entry-level jobs to the existing domestic pool of unemployed native and immigrant, instead of flying in cheaper workers from overseas," the paper says.

All of those ideas will be popular with his base. I suspect he knows that. Smart man.

(268,998 posts)The only think I find delish is how he's exposing the real ReTHUG racist agenda. Truthfully he's a great representative of overt fascist leadership - fugg the constitution and let the authoritarian business class rule.
