In a letter sent to the U.S. Attorney General and the FBI Director asking for a federal civil rights investigation into the shooting death of Zachary Hammond, the attorney for the slain teens family claims he has a witness who saw Seneca Police Department officers celebrate the shooting by high-fiving the teens lifeless body.
According to Fox Carolina, the letter details other accusations against officers involved in the shooting including a witness saying an officer pulled the teens body from his car and then placed something beneath it.

According to the letter sent by Taylor family attorney Eric Bland, a witness states
the officer who opened Zacharys door and pulled his dead body from the vehicle then went to the trunk of his police car and pulled (SIC) something out. The officer walked back over to the man on the ground rolled him over to his side, put something underneath his body, and then rolled him back.
The letter goes on to state,
a police officer with a neighboring police force has confirmed to SLED that the Seneca Police Department celebrated the killing of Zachary by desecrating his corpse. I think as progressives/liberals we can give each of these problems equal attention. In other words, walk and chew gum at the same time.

(100,076 posts)So in 1992 the police were out of control and batshit crazy then. It's been almost 25 years and things seem to only get worse. The police are committing homicide left and right. Are they being punished? No. Is there being anything done in Congress? No. It's a product of the Reagan administration and it's become a real problem now. If we don't deal with police brutality now as an election issue, things will only get worse. I'll repeat the words of the late, great Eric "Easy E" Wright - fuck the police.

It is beyond frightening.
