and there is no central component of the Republican Party. FOX news went into this election cycle thinking they controlled the keys to the white house and Trump promptly stuck them in their place. There are now just money people in that party smearing each other in their own feces. Each one thinks they are a boss, but all are afraid the to throw even the slimiest one under the bus for fear they might ruin their position on the phantom fecal pecking order. Meanwhile, no one is running the party.

but can you name one organization that is legitimate today? There was a time when editorializing was keep to the editorial page and opinion to the OP ED page now it opinionated editorializing is all over. Very little of WHO, WHY, WHAT, WHERE and HOW, mostly "This is what you should think about (fill in the blank)"

Whenever possible it trumpets opinions appealing to the other factions.

It has a lot of clout in the party, so sometimes it is unclear who is directing who.

I don't think it's a mouthpiece of the Republicans (although it so very often appears to be because it follows the CORPORATE line even moreso than the others), but neither is it a 'legitimate news organization'.

Granted, I don't think there are any of those left in North America anyway.
