Existence of Flying Spaghetti Monster Confirmed!

I'm surprised I haven't seen this here....

http://www.csmonitor.com/Science/2015/0815/Bizarre-undersea-critter-What-s-a-Flying-spaghetti-monster

Workers at the oil and gas company BP videotaped this strange-looking animal while collecting video footage some 4,000 feet (1,220 meters) under the sea with a remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV). Not knowing what the noodle-armed creature was, the BP crewmembers named it after what they thought it most resembled: the deity of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

It just didn't turn out to be the God they expected! Imagine their surprise when all the Pastafarians are gone one day and they're left behind.

Serious note:

You have to check out Casey Dunn's website if you're interested in colonial animals. Let's be honest here, they're crazy fascinating!

Also, you may want to check out Nautilus Live there's a good chance you could get to see some siphonophores there in the flesh!
