Just caught the replay of MTP. During a 15 minute spot with Paul Ryan on the right and Dick Durbin on the left, Gregory devoted at least 11 of the 15 minutes to allow Ryan to fillibuster and spin. I kept waiting for him to go to Durbin for a response....

David Gregory just isn't smart enough to host a show like this. He was fine as a White House corespondent since all he had to do is parrot what the press secretary said. He has now risen to the level of his own incompetence.

Here's my synopsis of how Durbin defended the President

Ryan: The Dems suck and we have a debt crisis looming. We Repubs have a plan. We don't cut all these programs. All we're doing is "increasing" spending on these programs by 3% vice 4.5%. We're great and the others guys suck

Gregory: Senator Durbin, would you like to comment on how tremendous the Repubs are?

Durbin: Well, my friend from Wisconsin makes some valid points, but.....
