CNN has it down... they know how to deal with populist domonstrations...
Whenever there are demonstrations with real populist overtones, CNN falls into its decades old pattern: newsmodels gets a quizzical and puzzled look on their face as if they can't understand the motives of these crazy people, newsmodel even stumbles a little as they read the teleprompter because it is all so confusing, reporter on the scene inflates any rumor of violence on the part of the demonstrators while the actual camera shows peaceful crowds, and the "coverage" such as it is, avoids the reasons for the demonstrations at all costs.
Contrast this with CNN's coverage of the teaparty. Not only did they cover them hundreds of times more in sheer amounts of time and even produce "specials" about teapartiers (and co-sponsor debates with them), they treated them as patriots with a very important and logical mission. I know, I know....this is nothing new. But we shoud still call them on it.
