Back during the Reagan years, when Uncle Ronnie was jacking up the defense budget and getting out the meat cleaver on domestic programs....sometimes the media or democrats would focus on the truly needy people getting screwed over. The republicans would whine and cry, "How dare you emotionalize the issue!" How dare you focus on the collateral effects of our policies on real people.
The story of Bain making profits from vulture capitalism, trashing the lives of hard working people getting "living wages" and perhaps leaving behind the mountain of crumbs called "jobs" with lower wages and inferior or non existant benefits need to be told.
For those on this board who have promoted Mayor Booker for higher office, I am sorry. There are still enough progresssives who refuse to buy the Democrats for the Leisure Class ramblings that we heard this morning. And Mayor Booker is wrong for attacking anyone who shows the "collateral damage" of real ruined lives from the games of the vulture one-percenters. It is disgusting to avoid the plight of the struggling and to paint it over with vague rhetoric that there are "more important issues." Romney if at all a "job creator", replaces good quality living wage jobs and replaces them with cheap inferior servitude, while putting the earnings in accounts in the Cayman Islands
