https://www.yahoo.com/tv/s/tv-batgirl-yvonne-craig-dies-78-045445765.htmlYvonne Craig, the actress best known for her role as Batgirl in the 1960s Batman TV series, died on Monday. She was 78.
Craig passed away at her home in Pacific Palisades surrounded by her family, according to her spokesman. She had been suffering from breast cancer that metastasized to her liver.
Craig also played Martha, the green Orion Slave Girl who wanted to kill Captain Kirk, in the third season of Star Trek.

My wife remember watching Batman repeats and Yvonne being like her first role models.

(3,051 posts)4. Funny story
We were going through my son's school stuff (back in the 1960s; maybe 70s) to throw stuff out at the end of the school year. I think he was 12ish at the time.
He had lots and lots of pictures of this then-young lady ripped from some teen magazine, some pretty salacious.
(Also, Diana Rigg -- Emma Peel from the Avengers. Wowza.)
My wife (in her thick Yiddish accent) looked at the well-loved and wrinkled pictures with distaste, and said "Vell, he's not gay."
I am not sure why this was so damn funny, but it became a family joke.

but it's sad when actors/actresses die. They bring so much happiness to our lives. May she RIP.

1960's Batman is still the best Batman IMHO. A lot of great people contributed to that show.
