I fear a Trump/Cruz ticket

We must be viligiant this doesn't happen. I see how Cruz is not attacking Trump. He wants to jump on the Trump chain. The white power trump and the theocrat Cruz will bring in the angry stupid white power group and Cruz will bring in the evangelicals. I fear for our country if this happens. They will have the mainstream media and the right wing media praising this ticket.

since it would loose almost all minority votes (98%+) and women voters (65%+) You cannot win loosing minorities and women by those margins.

He knows he can't win the nomination. But if he sucks up he can be on the ticket for VP. Sucking up is a good strategy for advancement in a corporation. As disgusting as it is, it works. Donald also knows sucking up when he sees it.

wouldn't win if we had Hillary, Bernie, Martin, or Lincoln.

Two different kinds of crazy - but together it's crazy to the zillionth power.

because he expects to pull his support after Trump exits. I bet that the fact that Trump hasn't imploded yet is giving Cruz and his staff an unbelievable ulcer right now.

Personally I don't think either one of these lunatics will win the nomination never mind the Presidency.

Carnival Cruz is a crazy person but he is not that popular with Hispanic voters and his positions on birthright citizenship and anchor babies would hurt the GOP with Hispanic voters.

I would love to see a Trump/Carnival Cruz ticket but I want to use this turn Texas blue

i don't see how any amount of "vigilance" could possibly prevent the GOP from putting together a general election ticket from 2 of its primary clowns.

nor do i see how this ticket is any more fearsome than the dozens of other possible tickets they could run with Trump as the headliner.

frankly, the only advantage such a ticket will have for the general is Trump's proposals to engage tariffs on imported cars, which is a pretty clear bid to undermine UAW support for Democrats and maybe puts Michigan in play, and they get that with any VP candidate.

the Trump candidacy loses minority votes of all kinds and the women's vote -- it will not get past the "Blue Wall".

isn't already a Trump block. In other words, an overlap of voters, a minority base within the republican party and no hope of democratic cross-over votes.

First off, it remains to be seen whether Trump will win the nomination. Frankly, I don't think he will. Secondly, Texas is already a lock for Republicans so Cruz adds absolutely nothing to any ticket.

If Obama's suspect for having an American mother, but foreign father and was born on US soil. That's a problem right? So says Trump the Birther king.

Now we have Raffi "Ted" Cruz born of an American mother, and a foreign father, but also, beyond anybody's doubt, born in another country, and his mother's US citizenship status is suspect too (due to poor record keeping and over staying in Canada)

As a result, Raffi is a dual citizen until he can fully prove his US citizenship, by birthright, through his mother's citizenship.

But Trump says nothing about Raffi. Exposing himself as the racist jerk that he is.

It would collect every single vote from the Republican "base," those Republicans who are fundie Christians, who hate immigrants and non-white citizens, who feel they were denied the Big Chance by the repressive federal gummit. That's a boat load of votes, but it's not enough. They would have to figure out a way to attract some non-crazy voters, and I don't think they could do it.

if we are this stupid, so it is pretty simple.

Either we do the right thing and likely the least of the two harms, or we die.

So I think it might be fun to watch the absolute death, mayhem and destruction if ANYONE other than a Dem wins, might as well enjoy it, since some even right here at DU seem to think such an event is worth risking.

such as Gen. McCrystal (ret.). McCrystal has strong credentials in disliking VP Biden and was forced out of the US Army by Pres. Obama. He became the hero of the ultra right wing. Perfect guy to serve Trump as he launches WWIII.
