Courthouse workers capture loose fugitive: a bat, flying around the first floor

We have bats in our area. They are one of the few animals we have not got a photo of yet.

Pat Adams opened a back door to the Douglas County Attorney’s Office on Thursday.

The office manager was getting a head start about 7:15 a.m., taking inventory.

Thursday, that inventory included something new: a bat.

Flying directly at her. Fangs out. (Not sure that bats have fangs, but go with it.)

FULL story at link.

Courthouse workers came prepared to capture the bat with a butterfly net and large yellow gloves.
