As we all remember Katrina

one must not forget the other areas besides New Orleans that were devastated by Katrina. Slidell, LA was practically blown off the map. The lower coast was almost just about wiped out and many, many people lost their lives and homes.

Many parts of MS were affected as well, 80% of the state experienced Cat 3 conditions. They had severe flooding and wind damage too.

I know we all think of NOLA, but *media* please do not forget the other victims in this tragedy.

I'm not sure why they're having remembrances anyway, when so much was destroyed and has never been rebuilt.

but I am bit put out about by the only focus on NOLA. Alot of other places and lives were destroyed by Katrina. Slidell has NEVER recovered.

I have friends in Hattisburg, they were never able to rebuild either. They had to move to Houston. It was their family homestead.

This is what I am talking about.

The pictures are devastating. It wasn't just NOLA. So many lives and property lost. So sad.
