Canadian border? 4000 miles? Yeah right. The GOP policy agenda is so old and rotten and uninspiring nobody can compete with Trump in creating interest. His ideas are novel and feel like it. And wake up that nativist base. My bet is that the GOP candidates are going to be promoting a ****load of very odd, often creepy, novel ideas in the months to come.

May have finally done himself in. Downside - he will have more time to spend destroying Wisconsin. We still have a few public schools left that somehow escaped privatization for him to check off his evil to do list.

(15,384 posts)Trying to out-Trump Trump but that game of, "I infinity dare you!" "Well, I infinity+1 dare you!" that most of us left behind in childhood doesn't work on crazy.
Trump wants to deport 11 million people (he means Mexicans). Big response back from the republican base. So now it's anchor baby this, end birthright citizenship that. Jeb, on a refreshing take on the GOP's normal racist dog-whistle, said he was talking about Asian anchor babies not Mexican ones. Now Walker wants to protect us from black market maple-syrup rustlers. Just joking, Canada, but it's not like you're going to object to the joke... you're all too polite.
Walker makes a face where he screws up the left side like he doesn't even believe what's coming out of his mouth. I have a feeling he made it when he proposed this.

(1,232 posts)US/Canadian border unimpeded. I would argue this violates that premise.
I think the same type of treaty should be enacted for our cousins in Mexico too. I don't see any reason why Mexicans are prevented from freely traversing the borders of what was once their nation too. Mexico used to comprise nearly 2/3rds of the USA.
Walker & trumpie continue to demonstrate their ignorance. Typical republicans.
