Renaming Mt. McKinley To Mt. Denali Is Appropriate & Long Overdue.

Obama is doing the right thing in renaming our tallest mountain in North America. It deserves the Indian name and it really more majestic than its now previous name. Naming anything after a Republican is ludicrous. The whole party has been nothing but a cancer on the US political landscape. The only reason they ever survived is that the GOP has relied on racism, bigotry, lying, cheating, manipulating and extremist political philosophies.

GOP policies have made millions miserable and probably really killed more people than some of our wars. Just look at their policies on health care for one. It is a scum bag party supported by a bunch suckers, racists and idiots. You have to be brain dead to vote for a Republican at any level. And they are so bad now that you might as well be in the same room as a serial killer.

The GOP presidential candidates are worse than clowns. They are as dangerous to the republic as any other enemy we have faced. Look at all their policy positions on any issue. What they want and desire would make your heart stop. And a GOP president now would really be the death of this country.

Pissing off these assholes over the renaming is really great.

9. US purchased Alaska in 1867. So we owned it since then. Statehood and ownership are different. n/t

First, Republicans are in high dudgeon because that dang Obama dissed a fellow Republican, and a former assassinated GOP President no less, then they're outraged that the name of Mt. McKinley is changed to Mt. Denali, reflecting the heritage of native people, a minority group that is definitely not on their Preferred List of Acceptable White People.

That's a double win for Obama!

7. I wonder if he got a mountain named after him, because he was assassinated?

Never looked up the story on Mt. McKinley. Glad it is going back to it's rightful name.

The only time I ever hear it call McKinley is on the news.
