Appreciation thread for millenials on DU

On a thread in GD-P, a couple of posters identified themselves as part of the Millenial generation (Those reaching adulthood 2000 or later). Previous surveys show that most DUers are older, with a minority of young people.

Which means that, we really need to let the young people who are joining us know that they are appreciated. They are the generation that will need to carry on the fight.

Kids, you rock!

Reaching voting age under puppet Reagan were fully aware to the crumbling start of things to come. My first introduction to ghost town industrial parks (more like cities) when I needed work the most, due in part to his lousy ability to lead.

The start of the Mighty US Manufacturing Core leaving these shores for good.

Of course, we boomers had the fear of "duck and cover" propaganda and "We're Number One" smoke up the yah-zoo for years.

They are version 2.0 in the age of Aquarius.

They seem to be interested in researching topics for themselves and unwilling to accept MSM messaging at face value. Woohoo!

I think the younger generations will be the ones that lead us to a world without racism, sexism, classes, greed and everything else that is the sad relic of the old dinosaurs who wouldn't go away. Hear's to the rebels, both quiet and not!

their own and that is the best kind of support a candidate can have.

Of course if they ask me, I'll not try and change their minds and will back them up

We are passing off the torch to a great bunch of kids who are not defined or constrained by a D or an R label.

I think we did OK
