rather than a deterrent (in this case, a deterrent to continuing to break the law, as Davis would no doubt do if released). It says a lot, all bad, about Huckabee.

(Wow - Jennifer Rubin, the Washington Post's resident right wing blogger replied to that tweet with "not in her place but in addition to would be swell". I didn't expect her to say that about a fellow Republican)

He's only saying it because he knows it's never going to happen, but it makes him look like a big ass martyr to his base.

Huckabee is a chickenhawk in all forms, including this. It's like when Hannity promised to get waterboarded. They're all talk.

Why not just mosey down to the clerk's office and spend a few days trying to stop the deputy clerks there from issuing licenses?

Just don't give up too fast!

To be a martyr.
Problem is, he doesn't have the intestinal fortitude to actually do it.
He just loves sounding like he is offering something somebody wants.
So far no takers.
