The Fundies Have Drawn A Line. They Do Not Accept Constitution Unless The Bible Is Its Base.

The bottom line argument from the fundies is that the only Constitution they will accept is one based on the Bible. And they will go to any means to attain it. The Davis case is only a beginning minor skirmish in the over all battle in the wings. The "conscience" strategy is a back door way to inject religion into government at every level.

There is a new aggressive attitude about forcing a form of Christian sharia on the nation. And the GOP essentially supports that idea for its own reasons. And it believes it can achieve complete power. The important thing to remember is that NO other religion would be allowed the "conscience" option.

I presume they'll be instituting a biblical economic system (New Testament and everything!):

Acts 4:32-35: "32 All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. 33 With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all 34 that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales 35 and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need."

The war on poverty would be officially over, right?

I have no idea where you get this image of them as strongly committed and ready to go to the mat. That's what their press packets have said since Reconstruction. The American people do not not want religion in every level of government and that luckily for us includes many religious people and even a large number of fundamentalists who do not in fact wish to run the government. They are far from a united front.
The 'conscience' strategy is in fact a ploy rather than a strategy perhaps a tactic at best. They have used that same gambit many times in the past, mostly around abortion and contraception. It has never worked for them in the past. It sure is not some new idea for them. They have none of those.

Can you counter any point I made, any of my fully informed activist points? I do not agree with the OP who seems to be working hard to trumpet the message of the people I oppose, the religious right. This is like promotional material for the powers of Kim Davis.
I'm not going to promote them for you. Feel free, but I will again point out the inherent weakness of their political standing in the US when compared to the past.

Huckabee, et al… keep saying Davis was jailed for her religious beliefs and that is NOT the case at all. She was jailed for contempt of court. Once that is confused, they open a lot of doors to recruit sympathy.
Huckabee is playing Silver Tongued Devil and deceiving the public. Kind of like Satan tempting Christ in the desert that time.
Don't read too much into this. Just an observation using my Religious upbringing to draw the parallel.

What they will GET if they GET what they WANT.

The Fundies all ACT like they get along and believe the same, etc., etc., but when you get right down to it, the differing factions (i.e., Baptists versus Presbyterians versus Methodists versus Church of Christ) are going to have major disagreements. Not to mention when you add in the Catholics.

PLUS, their insistence that religion be used within government is going to open the door for religions that they DON'T want (i.e., Buddhism, Wicca, Muslim, etc.) to have the same standing that the Fundies want. They've not even entertained that idea.

But I still know how to read a Bible, at least well enough to make an intelligent argument with the fundies:
Submission to the Authorities
Romans 13
1 Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.
2 Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.
3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you.
4 For he is God's servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.
5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience.
6 This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing.
7 Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

There is your island suggestion, I recommend one that will be under water in 10 years due to global warming, they deny that and besides god will save them because they are THE Faithful.

Now feeding the lions is rapidly gaining in popularity too and could be both a live and PPV event, the Gov might as well make some coin to offset the 400 years of BS they have inflicted upon America.
