when the marine layer has sufficient depth, the drops end up big enough to register in the precipitation gauges.

60 degree highs? How is it Indiana is hotter than California?!

(Inb4 ohmygawd you know so little about California, it's not all a desert! )

Hope you get some rain. Hang a teru teru bozu upside down? And why wouldn't that be an ame ame bozu? Or would it? Bah...things to ponder!

Nihonde wa, sorera wa rakka ni jūbun'na ame o emasu. In Japan they get enough rain falling.

9. This morning's "frain" turned into actual raindrops & the street is wet!

"Frain" is the mist from the fog here in The Richmond District. My husband will have to either leave his bike at work or clamp it onto the front of the Muni bus to get it home tonight.
