Taco Bell to serve beer in Chicago

The chain says it will open a location that serves wine, beer, sangria and frozen mixed drinks in Chicago next week, marking the first time it will serve alcohol in the United States. The new restaurant will also feature trends Taco Bell says it is seeing among millennials: "tapas-style" appetizers, a mural by a local artist and an open kitchen.

"You will literally be able to see the food" before it's prepared, said Meredith Sandland, Taco Bell's chief development officer. &quot Customers will be) able to see all the beautiful ingredients."

In addition to beer ($4), wine ($4) and sangria ($4.50), the Taco Bell location in the Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood will offer "Twisted Freezes" — frozen drinks that have rum, tequila or vodka mixed in. The latter will come in Mountain Dew Baja Blast, Cantina Punch and Cantina Margarita varieties, and cost between $6.19 and $7.19. The restaurant will open on Tuesday, Sept. 22.

I like the original crunchy tacos and the fiesta potatoes.

Their customer base is very diverse, every time I go into one I see lots of Hispanic customers.

The early ones used corn tortillas with some sliced black olives on top.

I checked with Google.

In the old days (long before I got there) they actually served cocktails out the window but the laws changed and when I worked there we only sold package bottles through it.

I had to quit after about 9 months of it. I loved my boss and most of the people I worked with were great but it got very depressing watching people slowly (or sometimes more quickly) devolve. I had one regular that would drive through every afternoon and get two airplane bottles of Early Times. He gradually started getting bigger bottles and by the time I quit he was up to a quart a day and his son had to drive him through as he had lost his license.

I can't imagine Taco Bell will sell good beer though so I'm not interested in that. I could probably drink enough good beer to eat there but not gonna try with big 3 macro.

There was a guy on a horse at the window, too!!

at the local community college, the professor either gave you your equivalent name in Spanish, or asked if there is one you preferred. My first name is Owen- that's out. Somehow it came out that my wife is Mexican American. He asked me if she had given me a Spanish pet name. I said "Only if Pendejo counts". Pretty funny, right? Well, it stuck for the semester

when taco bell sounded good at 2am,my brother and I went through the drive thru and heard a deep southern voice coming from the car in front of us. He asked for 2 chicken fa-Gi-tas. And yes the emphasis is on the G so it sounded like a certain part of the female anatomy. I don't think I have ever laughed harder in my life!
