I've stopped reading Rawstory because their posters are so vilely anti-Jewish that I am appalled (no way any liberal site would tolerate similar statements made against other minority groups). HuffPo can always be counted on for a few "Jews control the media", "Jews control the government", "send them all back to Israel" gems. Any story about Judaism (and completely not related to the subject of Israel) nevertheless warrants a few comments about Israel as being Nazi and committing genocide, with virtually no defense from the non-Jews on the forum. Yes, there are a lot of Jews in the United States, and many are and have been in prominent position in the arts, finance, business, etc. And, yes, Israel has been a key component of US foreign policy, for better or worse, since 1948.

But Coulter's right. Jews account for only 1.4% of the American population. And the Evangelicals don't give a damn about the Jews except for their support of Israel, which is critical to their perverted view of the world and the importance of the Holy Land to Evangelicals for the rapture and the second coming of Christ.

All the talk among Evangelicals, and in turn every other candidate, about Israel and the Jews is overblown, hypocritical, unnecessary, and kind of offensive. And hypocritical. Plus, their support of Israel and the Jews ties directly into their Islamophobia and the accompanying belief that only Israel can truly combat Islamophobia at the source. And so their support of Israel and "the Jews" is fundamentally cynical and vile.

So Coulter's sort of got a point. And, yes, I threw up a little in my mouth when I wrote that. Because when it comes to cynical and vile, Coulter has that market cornered.

I don't know how many F--king Jews there are in this country, BUT I know there are many of us who hope and work for the survival of the Jewish state in the Middle East. What she is railing against is the End-Times expectations of the eleven "candidates" on the stage at the Ronald Raygun in Simi Valley. That is her problem, but we are concerned when the American government seems to side with the Israeli government in areas that seem to not be in the best interests of this country or in the best interest of other factions in their sphere of influence, but we have faith in our leaders to do what is in the best interest of the area and the rest of the world. Ann Coulter makes noise to earn a living, I hope our leaders have much better motives. In fact I count on them to have those better motives. It is sad that a self-absorbed narscissist such as Coulter is listened to by so many people, but I think sound judgment and common sense will prevail and somewhere in the cosmos their is a cosmic kismet on its way to deal serious justice on the brow of with this woman.
