I don't know why economists/republicans don't get this. They printed god knows how many trillions of dollars in the hopes "the banks will lend it out" when they just used it to shore up their own balance sheets for years and years, as well as use it for stock buy backs for share holders. If you had given it to poor people, they would have bought shoes, clothes, food, etc and it would have made its way to share holders anyway, while at the same time creating huge amounts of "money velocity" on both main street and wall street.

I guess that extra little delay just wasn't tolerable for the oligarchs. Such a pity our PhD economists in charge of the federal reserve don't really understand main street economics.
