I WANT MY COUNTRY BACK!!!


I want strong unions back.. where workers are supported.. a good wage guaranteed..safety regulations are there for the workers.. a 40 vs 80 hour work week..


I WANT MY COUNTRY BACK!!!

I want corporations to be seen as just that.. places that produce something.. a product and not a living entity that supersedes us as having a soul, and the workers are just cogs...


I WANT MY COUNTRY BACK!!!

Where women can once again go for health care without the interference of a religious group to order them to bow down to their beliefs or die for lack of care.. They have the right not to use health care centers.. and likewise we have a right to access it..

Where people can vote without fear, and have equal access to voting areas..

I WANT MY COUNTRY BACK!!!

Where truth counts.. and telling lies has a consequence.. and not just moving on to the next lie to try and derail the conversation...

Where we once again trust science.. where we do things like go to the moon.. explore the depths.. use our power to save our environment and not hide in corners afraid of progress!

Where people of faith can go to their places of worship..and not fear for their lives because someone wants to kill us for a political statement..

This is what I will be saying to the next right wing that gets in my face and tells me that they "their" country back.. If not for President Obama, only God and the wind knows where we would be right now.. The next President is going to have to be just as strong.. its a foul wind blowing on the right now.. which is so sad.. we need two vibrant parties..

2. Well said. It is a foul wind blowing, but I think it is a weak wind. The lies and puffery will fade

in time because there are too many of us aware of the lies and who is doing the puffery for fascism to ever make great inroads into any place in America, other than the usual backward swamps and caves where religious fascism has always been the norm. That the media is handing the fascist wannabes the huge megaphones lately to blare out their insanity, and barely a cupped hand to all others, how can this insanity trying to pass as reason last much longer?

Lessons were learned the last time around and just need to be remembered.

I have to credit my husband for this one.. he came home from work yesterday and saw that sign again.. and it started quite the discussion..and we came up with a few.. it is frightening what some on the right are trying to drag this country into..

They purposely forget strong unions and 90% tax on the highest incomes.

they (the right) have so wrapped themselves up in their politics that they stand and yell "abuse me..take away my rights.. limit my freedoms.. just let it be a republican in office"..

So many good and decent people thrown out of their party...they are directionless.. no one at that helm so to speak..

they grab the latest screamer who reflects some deep anger and angst..

Where we have at least some media fairness. This media consolidation has ruined any objectivity. Look what has happened to NPR, the NYT, CNN and look at CBS and their 60 Minutes. Just awful. All they do is carry water for the right wing/corporations.

I'm for all the things you said, but the "take our coutnry back" rhetooric is divisive, suggetsing tthat there is "our" America, and "them" who is not America.
