This is urgent. Anti-woman extremists in Congress are ramping up their war on women, doing everything in their power to shut down Planned Parenthood, defund family planning clinics, and ban abortion. Their latest tactic: shut down the federal government.
NOW is joining forces with a number of other progressive organizations to send Congress an important message: NO funding cuts, NO shutdown, and NO compromises!

The vengeful smear campaign against Planned Parenthood is dangerous, deceptive, and nothing more than a thinly-veiled attempt to eliminate the Constitutional right to abortion. Planned Parenthood and other federally-funded family planning clinics provide essential health services to millions of men and women each year — including abortion care. NOW is proud to stand with Planned Parenthood.
Defunding Planned Parenthood would strip over 2.7 million women and men of essential healthcare services. Tell Congress you won't stand for this!
I want you to know that the public is on our side. In fact, a recent poll found that 71% of adults are not in favor of shutting down the government over Planned Parenthood. Any cuts to Planned Parenthood's funding are unacceptable. Shutting down the government is unacceptable. We will not accept any compromises to women's health.
