Joe Scarborough Doesn't Doesn't Know the Difference Between Argentina and Chile

This morning 9/25 on the MSNBC coverage, he said Pope Francis was shaped by the murder of Allende and the dictatorship of Pinochet. Even worse, no one corrected him.

the US backed murder of Allende affected millions in our hemisphere - and Chile is right next to Argentina.

he didn't mention that. It was clear he was confused.

but Allende's murder shocked all of us - just saying. Western backed military juntas and one party dictatorships were not unusual in South America or Central America.

Allende was a very popular socialist in our hemisphere.

30,000+ murders in your own country is far worse.

I've come to the default position that most of the people you see on the tee-vee, or those who produce the news, are generally dumbasses.

Like Dana Perino, who didn't know the difference between the Bay of Pigs and the Missile Crisis; or the Chicago station that marked Yom Kippur in their broadcast by showing the yellow "Jude" star (and against a blue and white striped background - nice touch!).
