Note: Don't get on my ass about sounding white. I know it doesn't work out 100%, but I can't ignore my knowledge of the voices I've heard around me all my life, and I'm not assuming there's anything inherently "better" about sounding white.

(1,727 posts)justices. The police can search and detain you based upon their ignorance or misunderstanding of the law and any resulting charges will still be valid.

I knew for a fact that a black cameraman would never have gotten that far into the "argument" with the officer.
