Any municipality, that does this, is promoting the criminalization of their citizens. If the police don't collect enough money, the budget is in a shortfall which pressures the police to "find" more folks to detain and ticket. To the point where they may just start making shit up.

and although I haven't seen this crap, I have seen the lone "speeding fines doubled"sign in school areas. I doubt very much that many drivers even think about that because as I keep my speed in those zones during school hours at 12 mph, I have drivers passing me at very fast speeds.

I remember a friend getting a $165.00 speeding ticket for going 16 mph in a school zone, he could hardly afford that so I guess doubling it would have put him in the system for life.

Remember the Florida state motto: Come on vacation, leave on probation, return on revocation.
