What's the current head count Teabagger Krazies vs "main stream" Repubs?

The teabaggers staged a coup to get rid of Boner, of that there should be no doubt, even if, after it happened, Boner really was glad to throw in the towel.

Are there enough votes to elect a real Kook to the position of third in line for the most powerful man on Earth? I know they would LOVE some Krazy Kook, but can they actually get one? Do they actually have the votes? Or was Boner's ouster the best wad they had?

They might be able to scrape up as many as 48.

There are a total of 247 Republicans in the Congress.

It takes 218 votes to elect a Speaker.

. . . . . . from an impotent Army of Assholes. The struggle now will be behind the scenes. I'm thinking it will be a strongarm fiscal conservative who will break heads of any oppose him. The BigMoney lobby abhors this sort of chaos.

They can cut a deal with Pelosi which gives the minority some say in the agenda, but will guarantee the freaks are completely frozen out of everything.

No chairmanships.

No real committee assignments.

Completely freeze the intransigent assholes out.

It's their last option, and I'm sure they won't be afraid to ultimately use it. Boehner did not want to hold onto his speakership that way, but a speaker coming in will do what it takes.

The defunct Tea Party Caucus is just as strong, or weak, as it ever was, despite the mountain top howling noises.

I wonder of Boehner will bring a bunch of stalled sane votes, like the Senate passed comprehensive immigration bill, or the Senate passed long term federal budget, to a vote in the House and have these things passed, or at least something meaningful, using Democratic votes?

40 days to do the right thing, as Obama implied today.

Wouldn't that be a feather in the cap of Obama's refusal to engage in any sophistry or personal attacks on Boehner for 7 years despite every justifiable opportunity he has had?

All TeaHadists are Republican and ALL Republicans are TeaHadists now.

The end goal is the same for both groups as it is with conservative, blue dog, dlc, corporate Dems.

In all honesty the 'main stream' republicans are now called conservative, blue dog, dlc, corporate Dems.

That is how much the parties have shifted and changed in my lifetime

That is also how I view things from where I am sitting.
