I know, I know... they only have $$Billions$$ of dollars and they can't spend it fast enough, but could they at least keep their map locations up to date -- Google is making them look ridiculously behind. A quick side by side of just one area I happened to check, in the heart of technology-driven Santa Monica. (see below)
Guess they are spending their money on other things. Not helpful if you are trying to meet someone and they get that major construction site on their end.

(seems like someone is Waaaaaay behind the times)
Tsk Tsk Tsk... and now a THIRD update to iPhone IOS 09 already... after being locked out of my phone for a DAY after the first update, and on the phone nearly 2 hours with support to try to get to the bottom of it with little help. Then a second update... Now a third update. Seriously?
OK, I guess I'm venting, but WTF??
As for Maps -- it is a core item that ALL your users want to use -- but Google is still the standard and you aren't showing any signs of making a dent in that -- (and apparently not even trying.)
Please stop releasing your IOS before it is ready, and get your maps up to date. You are wasting your user's time and energy by trying to push some of the software out the door TOO EARLY, while not keeping existing software current.

(21,506 posts)You bought a phone from a company that milks you for every dollar possible.
For what? A status symbol?
Worthless maps?
The fact that they have billions in the bank in cash based on basically one product should be enough to figure out they are robbing you blind.
Sorry but buying from Apple is supporting the one percent ers more than any other purchase I can think of

But I guess losing it might be an option.

(13,297 posts)I guess Google bought Waze, but funny how they are personalizing the voices -- didn't know Colbert was in there... will have to look that up. Thanks!
added - OMG - hilarious

(27,985 posts)Waze just tells you when to turn. But it's Colbert telling you when.
I have an Android so I more often use Google Maps. It's just hands down the gold standard.

(27,985 posts)It's cute to hear Google woefully mispronounce some of the names, too.
My Moto 360 watch and Google Maps together are amazing. It vibrates when turns are coming and shows the map on it. Super fun.
Anyway, good luck.
