Probe Into Racist Letters At Bridgeport PD (CT)

... on September 27, a letter was found that appeared to target the department’s black officers. Officers canvassing the lot found eight vehicles had letters placed on windshields.
Police internal affairs and the Bridgeport state’s attorney’s office are investigating.
The letter was written on department letterhead with the words “White Power Emerald Society” and alleges to be signed by Assistant Police Chief James Nardozzi.
He says he’s “disgusted” someone would make a hateful statement and falsify his name on the letter.
