which reflected leftover clouds and wind from that storm system that hung around for most of last week. Supposed to get warm tomorrow. Good. I need to have the doors and windows open when I burn all the dust and cat hair out of the floor furnace. Yes, I vacuum it out but it still stinks.

...however on a more personal level I must admit that here in Yosemite I am able to much more easily afford the electricity to keep my tiny living space cool when the outside temperature is hot, than I am able to afford the propane fuel required to keep said space warm when its cold outside.

This year, by the time I was able to apply for LHEAP assistance with my heating, all of the funds had already been given away to others. I keep thinking that if this keeps up, I may be able to afford to live comfortably for one more winter.
