I always search rummage sales for "new old" clothing/textiles that were made in this country. The quality is always so much better. I resell the funkier stuff and keep the stuff I can use.

for one thing, being retired, it's not so important how I dress, and for another, I find good quality, union made in the USA clothing at the thrift stores.. Thank for the link OS.

buying these goods helps the owners and employees of this company, but since the goods were made years ago, it's just a symbolic act about buying American made goods. It would be better to uy goods that are curently being manufactured in the U.S.A. I look at this sort of like antiue stores versus furniture stores. A lot of furniure is still American made. Buying a new American made dining room set helPs the economy, buying an antique dining room set, not so much.

But a find also supplies low cost high quality for those on a budget. I got a few thanks in private for that reason.
