(50,301 posts)I always search rummage sales for "new old" clothing/textiles that were made in this country. The quality is always so much better. I resell the funkier stuff and keep the stuff I can use.

(1,958 posts)buying these goods helps the owners and employees of this company, but since the goods were made years ago, it's just a symbolic act about buying American made goods. It would be better to uy goods that are curently being manufactured in the U.S.A. I look at this sort of like antiue stores versus furniture stores. A lot of furniure is still American made. Buying a new American made dining room set helPs the economy, buying an antique dining room set, not so much.
