Lindsey Graham wonders why he’s losing to Ben Carson: ‘At least I didn’t try to murder someone’

Finding himself still trailing non-politicians Donald Trump and Ben Carson in GOP presidential polls, a bemused Sen. Lindsey Graham wondered why he is losing to one candidate who tried to stab someone and another who is “crazy as hell.”

Appearing on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Graham referred to a recent revelation from Carson that he attempted to stab a friend when he was 14.

The bemused Graham then offered up his side on the upcoming primaries.

part of why Carson is doing better than Graham. Graham seems dishonest to me, Carson not - crazy, yes, but dishonest, no.

He's probably the most qualified of the bunch on the GOP side even though I disagree with him 99.9% of the time. I think the problem is he doesn't realize the Republican Party has changed from occasionally reasonable to off-the-wall wingnuts.

to make an impression in today's GOP, you have to do some crimes and then get away with them
election fraud and money laundering are always popular, but may be to passe' for an office as esteemed as the presidency
attempted murder is interesting in itself but it can be tough to beat the rap and with Carson already firmly rooted on this territory you might be perceived as unoriginal, playing to the "felony of the month" or some such
what you really need is your own little Lindsey Graham crime spree
may i recommend vandalism? along with a little light arson, that could really spruce up your campaign. see if you can pass it off as a religious thing by vandalizing women's health clinics, and call the prosecutors "a bunch of PC whiners incapable of understanding my strong fundamentalist roots", guaranteed this will give you at least a 10-point boost in the GOP primaries

Heard a report yesterday that the ISIS prison they blew up was torturing prisons - they mentioned some of the atrocities and I said to hubby that's so Abu Ghraib.
