By Chris Peters / World-Herald Staff Writer
A woman who was treated for a tiger bite after allegedly entering the Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium after hours has been released from the hospital.
Jacqueline Eide, 33, had been listed in fair condition Monday at Creighton University Medical Center. She was released late Monday night, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Monday evening, Eide posted a message on her Facebook page, thanking her friends for their thoughts and prayers. "This story has gone national and has been extremely exaggerated," Eide wrote. "I have read so many terrible things about myself, have been bullied online, harassed with texts, emails and voicemails. ... I have lost clients due to the backlash of negative media coverage and horrible comments people have been saying, along with my criminal record being exposed."
Eide wrote that she couldn't get a peaceful hospital rest because of all the calls from national and local news media.

(5,946 posts)1. did she get a brain transplant? she willingly stuck her hand through a crack in the wall.
ETA - I am sure this has been hard for her, but people who look for ways to put themselves in danger because they just don't think make it hard for everyone. if a child did it, I would feel bad, if an adult with a mental impairment did it I would feel bad, but she is supposedly a full adult with no impairments except not thinking. And she put the tiger in danger and who knows what else - and yes, the museum does bear some responsibility because they did not close the small gap.
OK, I admit it, I am mean but I would not post on her facebook, I don't know her.
