LAPEER COUNTY, MI – Todd Courser's bid for re-election to the 82nd House District Representative seat has come to an end in a resounding defeat.

After midnight, when it was clear he was not going to reclaim his seat, Courser spoke to a Flint Journal reporter in a room at his Lapeer law office on Main Street.
He conceded now is not the time to evaluate his political future, but instead sit back, evaluate his future and heal his family and himself.
"As crazy as it sounds, (my wife) is healthier than she's ever been and yet I'm sort of, at this point, a walking corpse," said Courser. "I'm completely drained of all energy, emotional, mental, physical, completely wiped out and so I think there's plenty of time for battle into the future."
Courser been part of a political firestorm following a scandal after an extramarital affair between himself and former 80th District House Representative Cindy Gamrat was exposed. Gamrat also lost the re-election bid for her seat on Tuesday.

Good riddance to bad rubbish. Cindy Gamrat got her ass handed to her too. I guess the voters have better taste than I gave them credit for. Yay! No more Crazy Eyes Gamrat or "In His Grip" Tod Courser. "In His Grip" is how he'd sign all his "communiques" and I always found that way creepy.
