Was Bill Maher correct, last night

when he blamed the teabagger winning in Kentucky on liberals who stayed home?

Apology if discussed here previously. I did not think that Kentucky getting a Republican governor was news, seeing that it is a red state, though I was surprised when I found out that it had a Democratic governor. Was mentioned in the State of the Union, I think.

Kentucky is like 60% conservative. Maybe not that high it is very conservative, though. Much higher than the national average otherwise how do you explain Turtle McConnell?

That's how we still have McConnell. He was vulnerable but she couldn't capitalize on it.

The fact she lost just shows how far gone the electorate is.

The black population is also pretty low for a southern state and this is the group dems rely on to win in conservative south.

I saw signs at many churches to VOTE I'm assuming they didn't vote for Conway thanks to the Kim Davis show. The turnout in some counties was almost 50% more than expected so either the poll didn't tap enough republicans who planned to vote or the unlikely ones were persuaded last minute.

I am heartened to see that my area was BLUE!

This is why it is important for Democrats to vote for the nominee, even if they have to hold their noses..

in Houston. Low voter turnout and failing to address the fear mongering of the opposition (men in women's bathrooms!). They should have owned it and addressed those fears with FACTS. We will have to do he same with SOCIALISM in Bernie's campaign.

The Dem party is a coalition of components that DON'T VOTE. If everybody voted... LBJ and Civil Rights focused on VOTING. The big Hispanic block DOESN'T VOTE.
