But as I wrote in an earlier post, it's like a virulent and deadly plague bacillus for which there is no test.

Say 5000 people come from Country X, where the plague is known to exist, to Country L. 4500 are healthy, 500 are carriers -- and there is no way to tell which are which. The only rational and indeed sane thing to do is deny them ALL entrance. The damage that will be done by the carriers to Country L vastly outweighs any other imperative or consideration.

The humanitarian impulse should never be confused with a suicide pact.

Any other conclusion reveals a profound moral bankruptcy.
