Everything seems locked down near Les Halles

Was just looking at Paris using Google Maps, noticing the road closures. They have changed a lot in the last hour. When you zoom in, all the streets around Les Halles are shown as closed. There was earlier buzz about a threat in that area. Wonder if that is the cause.

The street closing around Les Halles happened in the last hour. I suspect they are guarding against a specific threat or maybe trying to locate attackers in that area.

I have friends who live in that area. Last heard from them last a little before this area was closed down.

A relative was on their way home, could not exit the usual metro stop as it was Republique. They both made it home after a walk but are in shock. Friday evening is crap.
