‘This is for Syria… Iraq,’ trio said as they shot people at Paris concert hall
One of the music lovers watching the music performance at Bataclan concert hall in Paris Friday night said three men, who came in through the front door, shouted “This is for Syria, This is for Iraq,” as they started shooting at everyone gathered there.
Another, who survived the attack (watch the video clip; warning – some viewers may find the footage disturbing) , heard the trio say it was all because of French President Francois Hollande’s mistake of intervening in Syria.
Paul, one of hundreds who had gathered at the hall, told The Local: “We were in the main concert hall and had just finished watching the support band. We heard this noise behind us, but no one really thought much of it, at first. We never thought for one moment it was a terror attack.
“They came in through the front door and just began shooting at the crowd, shooting at everyone like crazy. I heard them shout something like, ‘This is for Syria’ and ‘This is for Iraq’. There were three of them. They were shouting at people not to move and if they did, they just shot them.”
