It is cool to mock people as too sincere and earnest, but those qualities are exactly what makes Kerry the trustworthy, significant diplomat that he is. I liked that I had to listen to the translation to understand his wonderful statement to the French people ... delivered in French. It is sad to remember the times when his ability to speak French was actually used against him.

But more importantly, his sheer persistence and willingness to look at every possible way to work around diplomat knots is beyond amazing. What I like best, is being able to see that he really is the person, many of hoped he would be. I regret that he wasn't President, but he already is the best Secretary of State in my life time.
