Cal State Long Beach student among those killed in Paris terror attacks
A Cal State Long Beach student was among those killed in the Paris terrorist attacks, according to the university.
Nohemi Gonzalez, a 20-year-old design student from El Monte, was part of an international exchange program at the Strate School of Design, according to a statement translated from French and posted on social media by the schools dean, Dominique Sciamma.
Gonzalez was a kind, thoughtful, generous and talented student, dear to all who knew her, Michael LaForte, a lecturer at Cal State Long Beachs department of design, wrote on Facebook. We grieve for her today and give our hearts to her grieving family and boyfriend.

I was in Long Beach yesterday. I live in South Bay, L.A. County. This morning, when I turned on the TV, the Paris attacks stunned me. To read this really brought it home -- not that Paris in and of itself was bad enough.
So young, so much to give to life. So sad.
