What I would do, if I were President Obama (when term is over)

I would make a BUNCH of expensive speeches...

Fatten up the family coffers

Write a REAL tell-all about exactly how it felt to be thwarted/disrespected/doubted/criticized from Day-One minus 50

Buy myself a gorgeous beachfront place in Bermuda..

Play golf..swim..

and give the USA a big F-U

but I think you may be off the mark on the other stuff. I think a post-presidency more in the mold of Jimmy Carter is more probable; working to fight racism would be one obvious possibility but of course there are many more.

Obama gives clearer view of post-White House life
"I know the costs that I paid for it," he said. "And I also know that I had the capacity to break that cycle, and as a consequence I think my daughters are better off. "

Michelle Obama spoke in just as plain terms on Saturday about the anxieties that came along with becoming the first black First Lady.

"Was I too loud or too angry or too emasculating?" she wondered. "Or was I too soft, too much of a mom and not enough of a career woman?"

Last week Obama re-launched his My Brother's Keeper initiative as a non-profit organization, with millions of dollars in commitments from private firms and a high-wattage roster of board members. He said the program's work on establishing mentorships and increasing access to good education for young minority men would remain his focus "for the rest of my life."

My good friend is writing a book that rather parallels the path of The President. It's very RAW.

He will follow the Clinton playbook, not Jimmy Carter. Money is supreme in Chicago politics.

Only 43 other people have ever been elected. Only 43.

He's been treated quite well IMHO.

the RW has been at war with our president since day one. They placed their pettiness over the welfare and safety of this country. They have given comfort to the terrorists by undercutting President Obama at every turn. Standing together is a thing of the past with them. They have made this the new norm because no one is calling them on it - media gives them the platform.
