In the US, the photo would more likely show squads of heavily armed commandos in face masks and full body armor, bristling with loaded weapons pointed directly at the crowd while yelling at them through a bullhorn from atop a military vehicle with machine guns sweeping across the terrified family groups. The little girl would be frightened by the show of militaristic posturing and burying her face in her mama's skirts, crying in terror as teargas was lobbed into the crowd and 'non-lethal' rubber bullets struck people indiscriminately.
