I hang my head as Indiana has the dubious distinction of being the first state to refuse Syrian refugees. Way to go Dunce Governor Pence!

My governor, McCrory, is an embarrassment, and he was even before this nonsense.

(96 posts)the family was barred from entering the state. They had waited three years to come to Indianapolis. Per the Star newspaper:
Instead, the family of three, which was slated to land in Indianapolis Wednesday, was rerouted to New Haven, Conn. They waited for three years in Jordan to be approved for settlement in the United States with Indiana long pegged as their landing spot. They were working through Indianapolis-based Exodus Refugee Immigration.
Evidently the Governator told Exodus that they have to send Syrian refugees to states that will accept them.
Miller was sent a letter Tuesday morning from the state Division of Family Resources, notifying Exodus that the state was seeking to have the family's arrival and all other Syrian arrivals suspended or redirected to another state that is willing to accept Syrian placements, the New York Times reports.
