From the RW Washington Times - Assad: Putin the ‘only defender of Christian civilization’

I post from the W. Times not to praise it but to mock. They actually are quoting an article from Sputnik News, a Russian government publication so take it for what it is worth. The interesting thing is what sources the RW media think are in line with their own thinking.

President Bashar Assad said he considers his long-time ally, Russian President Vladimir Putin as the “only defender of Christian civilization” one can trust, a comment made in an interview with a French magazine following the Paris attacks.

“When I look at the present state of things in the world, I realize that Vladimir Putin is the sole defender of Christian civilization one can rely on,” Mr. Assad told French magazine Valeurs Actuelles, Sputnik News reported.

There are many republicans who would probably agree since the think Obama is a great defender of Muslims and does not do enough to protect Christians.
