"I’m reminded that President Franklin D. Roosevelt felt compelled to sequester Japanese foreign nationals after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, and it appeals that the threat of harm to America from ISIS now is just as real and serious as that from our enemies then." - Roanoke, Virginia Mayor David A. Bowers

First of all, many, if not most, of the 'foreign nationals' were actually American citizens, the Nisei, who were born here. Second of all, many Nisei men were drafted out of the camps and made to serve the country that had imprisoned them and their relatives! Third, the Japanese-American soldiers, in their zeal to prove their loyalty to their rabidly racist, bigoted, xenphobic country, became the most highly decorated military unit in American history, with so many medals awarded for bravery, selflessness, and gallantry, it beggars the imagination.
