One of the best programs ever aired on U.S. television.

and virtually everything I think about humans, the universe, and our place in it, forever. I still come over very misty when I watch it, even today. Saw it when it was broadcast and it took me weeks to put my head back together after seeing that concluding episode.

Sagan's words are the closest thing I have ever had to a moral/intellectual creed. He explained to me things I thought but could not put into words of my own back then.

To this day Carl Sagan remains on my very short list of personal heroes with Robert Kennedy, Albert Einstein, William O. Douglas and Nelson Mandela.
