(42,770 posts)The cable network said on Friday that candidates will need to have either a national polling average of 3.5 percent or higher, or be polling at 4 percent or higher in Iowa or New Hampshire, to qualify for the prime-time debate, which will be held in Las Vegas on Dec. 15. CNN will consider polls that were conducted from Oct. 29 to Dec. 13.

Plenty of traditional republican votes for Obama & Kerry based on who the Repubs chose at least that I know.
They are people who always vote and sometimes they just can't vote with their party when it hits that low point . Some really surprised me, but I say good on you to them and better than sitting out the election pouting at home IMO that's just me.

It is great for us - but utterly amazing that GOP has no one who really shines and can be admired. This crew is just filled with bigotry, hate, exclusion and war mongering. What's to admire? - you'd think one of them would have some happy ideas for SOMETHING
