Republicans & the right-wing have been fighting against any money for veterans in a homeless situation along with money for veterans medical care. They can deny it all the hell they want but they have. They are all for sending them to war but to hell with them when they come back.
I am talking medical care, family care because their families have been disrupted, many veterans have lost their families to divorce & the fact they needed non-existent counseling to help them after what they have been through.
I don't blame you for wanting to puke, thought the same thing.
To me the right-wing is unbelievably cruel. Send Americans to war, discard them when they get back, no more use. The same with abortion. Force women to have the baby regardless of incest, rape or whatever but where are they in helping to take care of the child once it is born. Cut off all assistance to the mother, cut education, pre-school, etc.

We just chose not to.

(6,896 posts)when they qualify their concerns with "vets" they are saying they dont know and they dont care.
go find a homeless vet on the street that isnt their by their own choice.
you will find 500 homeless people with no choice about it first.
