The only way to stop hate is to not hate

Why is that so fucking hard of a concept for so fucking many people?

Geez la freakin' wheeze! You don't have to love everyone, or advocate their fucked up positions. You don't have to bare your throat to them, let them victimize you. The destroyers, the violent, they must be contained (but not executed in cold blood).

But as much as possible, give people SOME slack. Forgive and forget some stupidity. Try to be a positive model of your position and philosophy, not the one that most people react to as "Wow! What an asshole!".

Hate is literally poisonous. The body does bad things to itself from the negative stress of anger and hatred. If you want peace on this rock and in your soul, don't hate.

I've learned the hard way. I fall back into it sometimes. It isn't easy trying to handle the problems people force upon us. I can see a really good world, and then someone goes and gets all aggressive and or dishonest. Patience and tolerance, and how we compose ourselves to try and stay healthy, are a tough order.

What a great post. Thanks.

I am trying to keep the outlook:

"I don't want to be better than anyone else. I want to be better than me."

I need that tattooed. It took me a lifetime to get there, and I lose sight of it sometimes. I'm optimistic. Where I'm seeing it the most is in the athletic community. People are starting to be ok with being a beginner. One pullup might be your goal, and when it's achieved, it's an achievement to be celebrated.

But don't go out of your way to harm or even kill their bodies or souls.

The principle of "you go your way and I'll go mine" should reign over "I don't like your face so I'm gonna shoot it off."

Everyone on Earth is gonna say and do dumb stuff at times. But holding grudges doesn't do anything positive. Unless something is truly evil, like physical violence, sexual assault, or major theft, people should give each other a break and some friendly advice on why what they are doing is wrong.

Life would be so much better for so many people.
