In any event, its not that Trump set the equal time rules in motion. They're set in motion any time any candidate makes an appearance, including in a paid ad.
The candidates are all buying ads and the stations are more than happy to sell them the time.

national dog show was very cool, loved the skye terrier who took best of breed, best of group & best in show- such a rare, rare breed.
