I wonder if the Colorado terrorist is being told he'll get special treatment

regarding any charges/sentencing, if he does NOT say the shooting was related to abortion/religious beliefs.

The GOP presidential candidates don't want to have to support American armsmania and to oppress women's rights while also dealing with the deadly effects of their rhetoric.

Is it normal in the legal system to tell a defendant they'll receive a lighter sentence if they don't speak of certain motives? I've never heard of that happening. Since he killed a cop, I doubt he'll receive any special considerations either way. It's more likely the prosecutor will ask to move the trial to another location if they feel that they can't get an impartial one where they are at.
